The Highland Lakes Master Gardeners, a volunteer arm of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, are presenting free programs for the community especially for new gardeners or those new to the Hill Country as well as anyone that just loves gardening.  This series of classes is designed for basic knowledge of soil preparation, plant selection and care and many other topics of interest to gardeners.  The programs will be enjoyed by gardeners of all skill levels and interests.  Master Gardeners will give these free classes relating to what should be done in your lawn or garden at that time of year as well as other areas of gardening interest.  Programs are held in Marble Falls, Burnet, Buchanan Dam or Kingsland.  Watch your newspaper for announcement of classes which are usually held on Saturdays at the Libraries.

We have some exciting programs in 2012. Watch for Green Thumb classes this year on Saturday mornings at 10:30 am. Other programs will be Thursday at noon and Tuesday afternoon. We are developing programs for the new year and will announce them soon. Sign up to be reminded by email so you won't miss any programs. We will remind you about a week before these classes and other free events put on by the Master Gardeners, Garden Club and other local organizations. We know you will have a good time at these free classes and we hope to see you there.
